A fun filled workshop aimed at helping kids navigate the challenges of family divorce or separation. For ages 5-13.
Through a combination of art, music, experiential games and mindfulness activities, kids will:
- Learn how to express themselves and feel they can manage challenging situations
- Develop tools for managing feelings in a healthy way
- Build skills to decrease stress
- Gain support and perspective from peers who are also going through family transitions
- Develop new friendships
- Increase self esteem and resiliency
As leaders of this workshop, we bring over 30 years of counseling, coaching and working with families as well as experience in the education, corporate and legal arenas. Combined, we have lived and worked in four countries and four languages, which allows us a unique perspective on multicultural families. We have masters degrees in social work, counseling psychology as well as a certification in coaching.
We use a combination of fun, artistic and experiential activities such as mindfulness, yoga, music, art and social emotional tools. These activities will help children navigate the challenges of divorce by strengthening their emotional intelligence.
We have worked with families and their children to help them improve communication and negotiate differences as well as learning healthy boundaries. We help parents learn how to help their children successfully manage challenging situation in their lives with open hearts, loving kindness and positive regard.
We help you bring lasting changes in your relationship with your children and teach you how to create healthy relationship.
Our work with parents is based in empathy and support. We are uniquely experienced in providing parents with clear strategies and tools to be the best parents they can.
